This weekend the Sloan class of 2010 graduates. And, the class of 2011 has dispersed across the globe for the summer. The MBA job outlook seems to be improved from years past, as I have yet to talk to a single ’11 that doesn’t have a summer internship. Most interns are in Boston, NYC, or the SF bay area and their roles cover the spectrum. McKinsey is the leading employer, with many other consulting, banking and tech companies hiring Sloan interns. Then there is the entrepreneurial crew. There are several ‘11s that are starting companies, and at about 10% of... Readmore... Justin @ MIT |

[I needed inspiration. I needed that biting wry sense of humor bitching away about life served up straight and strong. I needed that no-nonsense attitude to make it's mark once again. In short, I needed her back. Without any further delay folks, join me in welcoming the famous MBA/MRS out of her self-imposed exile (if [...] Readmore... OMJ @ INSEAD |

Image via Wikipedia After one hectic year of MBA being suddenly on holiday feels a bit strange. Classes and finals are over and my summer internship is going to start in 3-weeks so I have some time to think about how this experience went so far. People: this is the thing I'm most happy about. However, according to a New York Times article “when you look at environmental problems in the US, nearly all of them have their source in food production and in particular meat production”. If you are seriously interested in reducing your carbon footprint, apparently one of the most effective ways is to stop eating meat. Per capita global meat consumption has more than doubled over the past 40 years; from 70 million to roughly 300 million tons today. This is expected to... Readmore... Priyanka @ MIT |

Perhaps the most consistent use of my time and mental capacity over the last few weeks has been searching for a job. I planned on working at the start-up I had been working with for the past few months, but a few weeks ago it became clear that that wasn't going to happen, for lots of reasons. So I set out to find a great summer job. I knew I wanted to work at a start-up, preferably in Boston or San Francisco. At first, that was all I did to narrow it down. Kind of a mistake. All of these... Readmore... Luke @ MIT |
